  1. Hello my little chef . . .

I haven’t checked out your blog for a while and I just wanted to say hello and I hope you are enjoying this treacherous Pennsylvania weather. Your pecan pie looks luscious. This is my new son-in-law’s favorite pie and I must say, I enjoy a tiny sliver . . . but not tooooo large of a slice. Way too sweet for me. I’m a punkin’ pie gal myself. I am extremely impressed with the beauty of the pie crust. When you become the next Paula Deene I want to come see your television show! (I’m more of a shortcut person ala Sandra Lee!)

    • It’s funny that you are impressed with the crust. I thought it was the saddest looking crust ever. It looked beautiful before it baked, but it’s been so long since I baked a pie, that I forgot that the crust shrinks up. Plus, my crust got much darker than I usually like. Usually when I eat pecan pie, I share with R. He eats all the nuts and I eat all the sweet filling. (BTW, I love Sandra Lee!)
